Langtang valley trek is also popularly known as the valley of glaciers trek on the journey to wilderness Himalayas making it one of the wildest trekking in Nepal. It  is one of the closest places from Kathmandu Valley where you could get to see huge snow-capped mountains and gorgeous glaciers. Langtang valley is located only 19 miles from Kathmandu on the north.

Few hours of a drive from Kathmandu will take you to the beautiful Langtang region. The whole Langtang valley is surrounded by Mount Langtang Lirung (7246m) that offers pine forest, rugged rock, swift mountain streams and snow-capped peaks.

Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu (1,400m)

  • Arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport.

  • Meet & greet by our representative.

  • Transfer to hotel in Thamel (tourist hub).

  • Free time to explore Kathmandu.

  • Overnight at a hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 2: Kathmandu to Syabrubesi (1,550m) – 7-8 hours drive

  • Breakfast at the hotel.

  • Scenic drive from Kathmandu to Syabrubesi (gateway to Langtang Valley).

  • Enjoy views of Himalayan peaks, rivers, and countryside villages.

  • Overnight at a guesthouse in Syabrubesi.

Day 3: Syabrubesi to Lama Hotel (2,480m) – 6-7 hours trek

  • Cross Bhote Koshi & Langtang Rivers via suspension bridges.

  • Trek through forests of rhododendron & oak (possible wildlife sightings).

  • Ascend to Lama Hotel, a beautiful settlement in the forest.

  • Overnight at a guesthouse in Lama Hotel.

Day 4: Lama Hotel to Langtang Village (3,430m) – 6-7 hours trek

  • Trek through forests, waterfalls, and yak pastures.

  • Arrive at Langtang Village, a traditional Tamang settlement.

  • Views of Langtang Lirung (7,227m) and surrounding peaks.

  • Overnight at a guesthouse in Langtang Village.

Day 5: Langtang Village to Kyanjin Gompa (3,870m) – 3-4 hours trek

  • Short, scenic trek to Kyanjin Gompa, a famous Buddhist monastery.

  • Explore the Yak Cheese Factory (taste fresh yak cheese!).

  • Acclimatization & free time to enjoy glacier & mountain views.

  • Overnight at a guesthouse in Kyanjin Gompa.

Day 6: Hike to Kyanjin Ri (4,773m) or Tserko Ri (5,033m) – 7-8 hours trek

  • Early morning hike to Kyanjin Ri (4,773m) or Tserko Ri (5,033m).

  • Enjoy panoramic sunrise views of the Langtang range, Ganesh Himal, and Dorje Lakpa.

  • Descend back to Kyanjin Gompa.

  • Overnight at a guesthouse in Kyanjin Gompa.

Day 7: Kyanjin Gompa to Lama Hotel (2,480m) – 6-7 hours trek

  • Trek down through Langtang Village and forests.

  • Enjoy different perspectives of the Langtang range.

  • Overnight at a guesthouse in Lama Hotel.

Day 8: Lama Hotel to Syabrubesi (1,550m) – 5-6 hours trek

  • Final trekking day with a gradual descent.

  • Walk through forests, villages, and rivers.

  • Arrive at Syabrubesi and relax after the trek.

  • Overnight at a guesthouse in Syabrubesi.

Day 9: Syabrubesi to Kathmandu – 7-8 hours drive

  • Breakfast at the guesthouse.

  • Drive back to Kathmandu via a scenic route.

  • Free time for shopping, spa, or cultural experiences.

  • Overnight at a hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 10: Departure from Kathmandu

  • Breakfast at the hotel.

  • Transfer to Tribhuvan International Airport for departure.
