Day 1: Kathmandu to Pokhara(822 m )

  • Drive (7 hours) or fly (25 minutes) from Kathmandu to Pokhara
  • Spend the afternoon exploring the beautiful city of Pokhara, known for its stunning lakes and mountain views, and do boating at Fewa Lake
  • Stay overnight at the hotel

Day 2: Pokhara to Tirkhe Dhunga (2482 m)

  • Have your breakfast and be ready for your trek
  • Drive to Nayapul (50 km) and walk 20 to Birethati, a prosperous town beside the Modi River.
  • The trail passes through lush forests, small villages, and streams.
  • The trek for today ends at Tirkhe Dhunga with 4 hours walk.
  • Stay overnight in Tirkhe Dhunga

Day 3: Tirkhe Dhunga to Ghorepani(2874 m/9429 ft)

  • Next day, early in the morning, have your breakfast and start your Trek crossing through beautiful rhododendron forests and streams such as Bhurungdi Khola (River) on a suspension bridge.
  • Continue your journey and you will reach a large community of Magar caste in the Village called Ulleri.
  • However, we will not rest here for long and continue our trek above the village where you will get the scerenic view of huge oak forest and rhododendron then reach to Nangethanti. You can have lunch or a short rest here.
  • Trek to Ghorepani through the lush forest. The journey will take approximately 5-6 hours, but trust me, it’ll be worth it.
  • Stay overnight in Ghorepani.

Day 4: Ghorepani to Poon Hill (3210 m) to Tadapani (2630 m)

  • Wake up bright and early and grab your trusty hiking stick and flashlight, because we’re heading to Poonhill at 4am! Trust me, the early start is worth it as you’ll witness breathtaking sunrise views and panoramic mountain vistas at eye level.
  • You will get to see Annapurna and Dhaulagiri Mountain ranges and many more at Poon Hill.
  • After an hour of hiking, we’ll head back to Ghorepani for a delicious breakfast before embarking on a six-hour trek to Tadapani. And get this, Tadapani actually means “far water,” as the community gets its water from a great distance away.
  • We descend to Deurali along ridges and through stunning forests of pine and rhododendron, before we finally make our way to Tadapani.. On the way, we’ll also stop at Banthanti for a quick break before reaching our hotel.
  • Stay overnight in Tadapani.

Day 5: Tadapani to Ghandruk (2012 m)

  • The trek starts after breakfast and heads towards Ghandruk, a charming Gurung village famous for providing Gorkha soldiers. The journey involves a 4-hour descent and offers breathtaking views of Annapurna South, Machhapuchhre, and Himachuli.
  • The village is a hub of cultural richness, and you can learn about various activities by visiting the ACAP office.
  • Spend the night in a cozy guest house and relish the experience.

Day 6: Ghandruk to Pokhara

  • After breakfast descend to Nayapul (3-4 hrs trek) and drive back to Pokhara.
  • Spend the afternoon exploring Pokhara or relaxing by the lake.
  • Congratulations! you have successfully completed your trek to Poon Hill.

Note: This itinerary can be adjusted based on your preferences and physical fitness level. It’s important to acclimate to the altitude and take your time to enjoy the beautiful scenery.
